Helping to build a sustainable future

Our Timber is sourced predominantly from Australian sawmills, sustainably grown using the highest quality logs from plantations right here in Australia.

We also offer imported timber for customers that request it.

Versatile, strong and durable, Timber is the ultimate building material. It’s natural, sustainable and the only framing resource that tackles climate change

Find out below, why Timber should be the choice for your build

When it comes to insulation, timber framing is superior. While thermal bridging occurs in both timber and steel frames, timber framing conducts heat at a much lower rate with tiny air pockets that add resistance to heat flow throughout a home. This means that less thermal breaks and insulation are required to achieve a good energy rating.

Timber framing has significant insulating properties causing it to burn in a slow, predictable and measurable way while maintaining its structural integrity. What’s more it’s also protected from fire with cladding, like brick and plasterboard.

These factors see timber perform strongly against fire, giving designers the ability to confidently create strong, durable, fire-resistant constructions.

Prefabrication and modular offsite construction are helping increase onsite productivity and avoid weather delays.

And it’s at no cost to flexibility, as timber is well understood by builders and easy to work with. Any last-minute adjustments can be easily done onsite by carpenters equipped with all the tools they need.

When wood is transformed into timber products like timber framing, it continues to store carbon for its life. In Australia, an estimated 94 million tonnes of carbon is stored in harvested wood products.

Timber framing remains the most popular choice for Australian homes. And as people start to think seriously about the long-term effects of their choices, renewable and sustainable building materials like timber framing will continue to grow in popularity

The construction industry accounts for around 40% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions, with production of materials one of the biggest offenders.

With timber’s carbon storage properties, timber removes more CO2 from the atmosphere than it emits. So unlike many other materials, timber framing helps tackle climate change.
